Water Main Replacement

How much does water main replacement cost?

Most domestic water main replacements are carried out at £90 per metre from the boundary stop valve to the internal stop valve. We provide a clear, fixed price before work begins — no surprises.

Will you dig up my driveway?

In most cases, no. We use trenchless moling technology which only requires small excavations at the boundary and entry point. Your driveway, patio, or garden typically remains completely untouched.

Are you approved to carry out water main work?

Yes. We are WIAPS approved contractors and Thames Water approved. All installations are certified and meet current Water Regulations. Certification is provided on completion.

How long does a water main replacement take?

Most domestic replacements are completed within a day or two. The moling process is significantly faster than traditional trenching, which means less time on site and less disruption to you.

Plumbing Services

What plumbing services do you offer?

Our plumbing services include:

  • Leak detection and repair
  • Tap and shower installations
  • Toilet repairs and replacements
  • Boiler servicing and repairs
  • Heating system installation and maintenance
  • Water tank replacements
  • Pipe repairs and replacements
  • Water pressure issues

Do you handle boiler breakdowns?

Yes, we provide boiler repair services for most makes and models. Our qualified engineers can diagnose and repair boiler faults, perform annual servicing, and help with warranty claims. We work with all major boiler manufacturers and can often arrange same-day repairs for breakdowns.

How do you handle water leaks?

We use advanced leak detection equipment to locate leaks without unnecessary damage to walls or floors. Our methods include acoustic listening devices, thermal imaging, and tracer gas detection. This non-invasive approach helps minimise repair costs and disruption to your property.

Drainage Solutions

What drainage problems do you solve?

We handle all types of drainage issues including:

  • Blocked drains and sewers
  • Tree root infiltration
  • Collapsed or damaged pipes
  • Flooding and water ingress
  • Slow draining sinks, baths, and toilets
  • Drainage system maintenance
  • Storm drain repairs

Do you use traditional digging methods or no-dig solutions?

We offer both traditional excavation and modern no-dig solutions. The method we choose depends on the specific problem and location. No-dig solutions are often preferable as they cause less disruption, are more cost-effective, and allow for faster completion. We always recommend the most appropriate solution for your situation.

How do you clear blocked drains?

We use high-pressure water jetting, which is the most effective and environmentally friendly method for clearing blockages. This powerful technique removes grease, debris, and mineral deposits while being gentle on pipework. We also use CCTV drain cameras to inspect pipes and identify the cause of blockages.

No Dig Solutions

What is no-dig technology?

No-dig technology, also known as trenchless technology, allows us to repair or replace underground pipes without extensive digging. This method uses specialised equipment to access and repair pipes through small entry points, minimizing disruption to your property, driveways, and landscaping.

When is no-dig technology appropriate?

No-dig solutions are ideal for:

  • Repairing damaged underground pipes
  • Replacing old or corroded pipework
  • Installing new services under existing structures
  • Working in areas where traditional digging isn't possible
  • Minimising disruption to gardens, driveways, and hard landscaping
  • Projects requiring quick completion

What are the benefits of no-dig repairs?

The benefits include:

  • Less Disruption: Minimal damage to property and landscaping
  • Cost Effective: Often cheaper than traditional excavation
  • Faster Completion: Projects completed in days rather than weeks
  • Environmentally Friendly: Less waste and disruption
  • Weather Independent: Can work in most weather conditions
  • Structural Integrity: Maintains property stability

EV Charger Installation

What types of EV chargers do you install?

We install all types of electric vehicle charging solutions:

  • Level 1 Chargers: Basic home charging (slower, uses standard outlet)
  • Level 2 Chargers: Fast home charging (240V, dedicated circuit)
  • DC Fast Chargers: Rapid charging for commercial applications
  • Tethered vs. Untethered: Cable included or separate cable needed
  • Smart Chargers: Wi-Fi enabled with app control

Do I need a dedicated circuit for EV charging?

Yes, Level 2 EV chargers require a dedicated electrical circuit. We assess your existing electrical system and determine if upgrades are needed. This may include installing a new circuit breaker, upgrading your electrical panel, or installing a larger service entrance if required by local electrical codes.

How long does EV charger installation take?

Most residential EV charger installations can be completed in 4-8 hours, depending on the complexity. This includes electrical work, mounting the charger, and testing. Commercial installations may take longer depending on the requirements. We provide a detailed timeline during our site assessment.

Do you provide government grant assistance?

We can help you navigate available government incentives and grants for EV charger installation. In the UK, there are various schemes available including the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) grants. We can assess your eligibility and help with the application process.

Leak Detection

What types of leaks can you detect?

We can detect various types of leaks using advanced technology:

  • Water Leaks: Pipe leaks, fixture leaks, slab leaks
  • Gas Leaks: Natural gas and propane leaks
  • Sewer Line Leaks: Underground pipe leaks
  • Hidden Leaks: Behind walls, under floors, underground
  • Slow Leaks: Small leaks that cause gradual damage
  • Pressure Testing: System pressure loss detection

What equipment do you use for leak detection?

We use professional-grade equipment including:

  • Acoustic Listening Devices: Detect sound vibrations from leaks
  • Thermal Imaging Cameras: Identify temperature differences
  • Tracer Gas Systems: Inject gas to locate leaks
  • Moisture Meters: Detect water presence in materials
  • CCTV Drain Cameras: Visual inspection of pipes
  • Pressure Testing Equipment: Measure system integrity

How accurate is your leak detection?

Our leak detection methods are highly accurate, typically locating leaks within 6 inches of their actual position. We use multiple detection methods to cross-verify findings and provide a confidence rating with our reports. If we're unable to locate a suspected leak, we don't charge for the service.
